So, a couple months ago my bloodwork showed my aids meds weren't working well so a month and a half ago we changed my "cocktail". Generally, a "c" only lasts 3-4 yrs before the virus builds Immunity to it. I'm lucky in that mine have lasted 5-6 but still, it's been a while since I started in the mid 90's so all the "good ones" are done. The new one has a number of side effects, the most ironic is that it interacts with oral "insulins". Ironic since aids meds CAUSE t2 Diabetes in over 50% of those taking it. Since starting the new "c" and halving my Metformin my BG has been out of control. My Injectable Insulin has gone up 20 units in 3 weeks and STILL not in control(it was 155 this am). All I can say is that they better change my Insulin to a more concentrated form since I'm getting bruising at the injection sites due to the amt being injected.....
It's Always Something;>.....
Cheers,
Pat
