Frost Giant's Breath......
Jan. 1st, 2018 09:16 amWell, if the paper mache-looking sculptures(it rained last night before it froze)and steamed spinach like foliage of a lot of normally Hardy(here in z8)plants, it definitely fell a bit below Freezing last night. And is to remain so for the next week.
I've decided not to morn(well not too much;>) the Dead but see it as spots for new plants. I'd be very surprised if the 'Ugli' Mandarin survived last night, let alone the rest of the Winter. We're holding off on our usual putting away the Yule décor on New Yr's Day till day Temps at least reach 40F since they go in the other side of the same shed that I'd put the plants I wished to keep(and could fit;>)and I'm not even going to check on them until the same.
We'll see what the rest of Winter brings....
Cheers,
Pat
