Bad News.....

Chuck went into hospital yesterday. Well, hospitals. Our local hospital transferred him from their ER to the one in our old town FWB. We THOGHT his confusion and balance problem was due to an infection he didn't want to "bother" me about and was transferred due to the chance of a Stroke but we had a doc walk in, tell us his carotid artery was 90% blocked and had to go to surgery Thursday. A bit of a shock when all you were expecting is maybe 2 days on antibiotics.
Chuck hasn't been hospitalized since his Head Trauma as a kid and neither of us has been apart in over 20 yrs. I would have stayed last night but between my meds, cats and exhaustion(I took him to our hospital at 0330 and he didn't get a bed at FWB's till 1800). I couldn't drive back. I'll head back around 0800.
Well, at least he FINALLY has a doctor and if they weren't so fkkn greedy chances this wouldn't have happened....

Things are looking up. Yesterday he was so much better than he was Tuesday, almost where he was Sunday. They did his surgery a day early and he came through well. Tentacles crossed!

I appreciate it. I'm more optimistic than I was Tuesday. He was more himself after surgery, joking with the Recovery team. Even the cats seem to know. Last night was the 1st time since that they were playing....
