So, what was supposed to be a trip to the vet for jabs and a pre-op check for Rocky's chronic Periodontal disease ended up a day trip that ended up costing over $700 AT PRESENT.
Butch needs what I thought Rocky did. Rocky OTOH has an autoimmune disease where his immune system is attacking Plaque, causing pain, tooth loss and general bad health. If we want him to live more than a yr more(maybe) and not in pain he needs to have ALL his teeth pulled. And prices online show it runs from $1500 to $3000. Tuesday we have an appt with the Vet that does these sorts of things for a pre op and a guestimate of the cost. I have a couple grand from the folks' estate for these sorts of emergencies but it'll clean that out for future ones.
It's ALWAYS something.....

Consider putting up a Paypal button or a Gofundme. There are folks who are happy to help in an emergency and who understand that furbabies matter, and you're both on limited fixed incomes.

Also, poor Rocky!

That's a good idea. We've got his pre=op exam Tuesday and will find out then what the damages are. Dropped by their office yesterday on the way to my MHW's office and filled out all the paperwork ahead of time. They all seem nice but then again, I don't find too many mean folks in Veterinary offices....not like MD ones;>
