mdehnersWith family, weather and the various holidays my mind has been a bit scattered.Hopefully, I can pull meself together to start doing more than just get by.
I'm still trying to think of a Spiritual project for 2019. Nothing's saying "You Need To Do This!?!" so it makes it difficult. The top contender is the less "popular" Nordic Deities, esp the Goddesses. One easy project is to find representations of Those I commonly interact with(even if it's all one sided;>) for my altar. One who has come in strong since Summer has been Sif. I've found a few of Her but only one that felt "Right". That's MY Yule present to myself this yr. While searching I'd run into a number of different vendors and stock, some of which made me VERY uncomfortable. I mean, I know folks joke about us "Worshipping Comicbook characters" but when you're making representations that if in Anime of females would be called "Fan Service", I'm uncomfortable. Apparently this is a new thing for me because 25 yrs ago I bought illustrations of The Old Man and Redbeard picturing them "Robust and Rampant". Today I don't know what to do with them.
I've been looking for Dumezil books on various used book sites but most are just too expensive. Like Grimm's 'Teutonic Mythology' books I just keep logging back until one in my price range shows up...
