Natto Attempt...part 2!
Feb. 27th, 2020 09:09 amMost folks have a food their minds tell them would be good for them and their bodies say "Fork NO!!!!!". Natto is that food for me. If you don't know what Natto is, it's a Fermented Soy product using bacteria instead of the usual mold. The result looks a bit like if you whipped up KY jelly and brown beans.
The 1st time the taste wasn't bad but the texture was off-putting. This time I didn't prep it Japanese style which is to whip it into a froth but gently folded it into the rice. This time the taste was the problem.
I've decided to give up on it. It's not like I'll be missing Fermented Soy products in my diet. I LOVE Miso and Tempeh. I guess I'll stick with Yogurt and Kefir for Bacteria Ferments;>....
Cheers,
Pat

Date: 2020-02-28 06:23 pm (UTC)I'm afraid left to myself, I would have lived on Branston pickle, Cheshire cheese, bread, pizza, fried eggs, icecream, Marks and Spencer's stripey mints, strawberries, black coffee, and wine. I do not do health food. You have self discipline I will never have.
