A couple of yrs ago my SIL told me if I wanted to plant anything in the front garden I could. I quickly found planting a handful of extra seedlings meant I was also responsible for the bed's upkeep. I was annoyed but I did, well except when my health "hiccups". When that happens she has to pull herself away from Q Anon sites and help out....usually "accidently" pulling up or damaging flowers, sometimes even those she planted. This month I had surgery and was not to bend over or pick up "anything weighing more than a 1/2 gallon of milk". She showed her disappointment with my laziness by basically weeding about a quarter of the garden, ripping up some Snapdragons and a Bee Balm. She also put their garbage out but not mine. Needless to say I put it out myself(something that normally isn't a big deal) and now I have a silver dollar sized wheal on my spine...guess something pulled open. The md said just to watch it and if it changes colour, weeps or gets larger to call them. So far no change ins a couple days. It's itching so it's probably healing.
This sort of thing was why I was hesitant for us to move here but there weren't really any good choices back in Florida. Mostly it's good but it's not good if the central character is unhappy with how her NPC's are performing....

She was always a bit of a "Mean Girl" but she really got going once she started Pot. Until her I thought of it as basically harmless(unless driving!) but her Paranoia lead her to R wing conspiracy bs and a major victim mentality. Yeah, a white,middle aged woman married for 40 yrs to a man with a 6 figure income....such Oppression!

I remember your old posts about her serial New Age obsessions. I've been wondering about the drumbeat of British news stories about people committing awful crimes under the influence of "cannabis". So far, they all seem to have also been on ketamine or something—and in most cases, obviously deeply mentally ill as well. But I'd always thought pot was a calming influence. So this is another data point. Very worrying.

I think the Core is Paranoia, the causative agent just energised it. I can remember in the 80's sometimes Crystal would do that to me...about cops;>. Thankfully it didn't happen every time and considering during my "Party Days" maybe a handful of days so it didn't become a lifestyle.
It's one of those things that piss me off. I actually have thing wrong yet they are given less credence than a vague, undiagnosed(by someone with more medical knowledge than a couple of newage paperbacks) headache(not Migraine. I get those and NO ONE having one can read or watch tv during. I'm lucky sunlight doesn't make me barf. ). Oh well. He's not going to divorce her BUT he has full plans for after she Passes;>
