Pompeii: The Last Day....

mdehnersI had a very disturbed reaction to this documentary the 1st time I saw it. So did my Mom. You see, when I was little, I used to draw these scenes of what looked like Water drowning Greco-Roman city. Particularly, a plaza with a temple at one end and long columned collonades. In the reinactment, the pyroclastic flow covers the center of Pompeii....a temple at one end and long columned collunades. As if a little kid sat there and drew what was in front of him...
Appearantly,the "waves" I Remembered as a child weren't Water. My Mom was disturbed when I told her to watch it. She's saved a lot of my childhood drawings, including one pretty much identical to the reinactment.
'Course, perhaps i was seeing into the future the making of a NOVA documentary instead of a Memeory of an earlier Life;>....
