mdehnersI saw this AM that this wonderful BBC series is being released FINALLY. If you've never seen it, rent it! It's one of those series that BBC does so well on a subject America's Media Elite wouldn't touch with a 10 Lightyr pole....
"WFG" is a comedy about the inhabitants of a retirement home. The central storyline is the gradual romance between an Atheistic "Woman of Action" and a Polyanish Accountant.Think "Hogan's Heroes" where the Allied Prisoners are simply locked up because they're old. At least the "Terrible Twosome" don't blow anything up;>.
It is a Funny, Sweet and Thoughtful series on what the lives of the Elderly have become in the Industrialized World. As Diana, the Acid-tongued journalist points out repeatedly, she'd be better treated and respected in a mud hut. "Primitive Peoples need Wisdom, Modern peoples avoid it"....
