mdehnersTwo new shows, one iffy, one hilarious.
The Iffy? 'TBS's 'Family form Hell'. Premise? A Texas oil company(Halloburton anyone;>?)has created a drill that threatens to wreak havok in Hell and free the Damned Souls. Satan sends a Demon family to destroy it. The Joke? Humans aren't so Repentant of their Evil while still Incarnated. The Innocent Demons are constantly surprised about how Evil the average living Human is....
:It might get better. It's obvious that the wife was orignally to be Voiced by Wendy Mallik of 'Just Shoot Me' fame...Molly Shannon just doesn't have the proper "Innocent Malice"...
The Hilarious? MTV's 'Warren the Ape'. A spin off of Fox's short-lived 'Greg the Bunny', imagine if 'Sesame Street' was the real world where Humans and Puppets lived together and the Puppets weren't as cute when the camera's off.
'WTA' is basically a reality show about a Charlie Sheen-type Puppet that's finally blown it and is trying to get his career back by doing a cheesy reality show. Dr Drew is his therapist;>.
Last night's episode was Warren creating a sextape for the "Snuggles" Bear so that he could get the cereal commercial contract. Unfortunately for Warren, you find out that "Snuggles" has a pecker almost as tall as he is and that, as he tells Warren at a Cereal signing with him dealing with a herd of obnoxious kids, "Did you know they'll pay you to have sex with pretty, big-breasted Women?"......
