Sewing Confusion;>....
Jun. 21st, 2010 02:12 pmFor a "lawful Good" sorta guy, I do tend to do more than my "officially" Chaotic" friends in confusing folks. A good example was recently with a couple of my Christian friends. They were"ragging" on Atheists and thought I'd be Supportive. I wasn't. While admitting many ARE very Annoying;>,they have a lot of good points. Heathens, Pagans and WIccas at least don't have to Beleive Literally in certain Mythic stories. One that I know wher I depart from a lot of my other "Faithie" friends is that of Ethical Behavior. I personally don't Beleive that "Doing Right" simply because you might be Punished by a God/dess(es) and/or in an Afterlife COUNTS. You do it because it's RIGHT. This is where I agree with my only Atheist friend(most are of the "evangelical" variety and are happy to realize that I tossed out Christianity but when they find out that my Heathen-ness isn't simply a newage pseudo-psychology...they bugger off). What's sadly funny is that all the Atheists I've known PERSONALLY have been naturally very Ethical people. In fact, that's what lead them away from the religion...
A reason many of us did our family faiths. We just didn't "buy" that just because one wasn't Tru, others were false as well.
