mdehnersLocally, it's looking better and bettter in being GDI, God-Damned Independant. A number of my Republican friends are making noises about joining. Even those who are because they're "Small Gov't" are having a hard time swallowing that it's OK to bail out mega-corps but not small businesses and hard working folks who got screwed BY mega corps and Wall Street.
I admit, it's more work. After all, you actually have to find out what each candidate and measure is/about, not just take an "approved" list to the Voting booth. This, sad to say might be enough to keep a few from changing, God/dess Love'm.
As slow as Obama's gov't was and how much it's cozy collusion with BP, folks "dun hyar" have long memories(many consider "The War of Northen Aggression" simply in a time-out") and Bush's behavior with 'Katrina' hasn't been forgiven. And sadly, folks here are so used to looking to "their Betters" that they understand Obama turning to "the Experts" in Oil....
