Depressing...
Sep. 1st, 2004 05:48 pmIt's funny how something innocuous can trigger depression, even on a good day.
It was the usual on LJ-Kindred and being the most active Folkish poster there I tried to get the Point Across....and failed, as usual. The Problem is that of Core Beliefs. If you have a Belief that Everything can be Compromised you are not going to listen to those that Beleive that Not Everything can or should be Compromised. These Beliefs by definition ARE Exclusionary. That's why I tried to make the point that we (meaning ALL Heathens) should focus on that which we have in common instead of trying to Change the Other's Beleif. I got a "joking" comment about when " we'll get enough spine to build our own play yard and throw you both out". Appearantly, there are some Universalists that aren't the "Right Kind" of Universalist for the poster< G>...
In a way it was good because it finally got through all that Blonde hair (or what used to be Blonde< G >)for me to See It As It Is....

Pat
