Had to start dinner all over yesterday because the soap dispenser sprayed all over the Su for marinating the chicken. Too many yrs as a nurse makes me overly obsessed with handwashing(though not a bad thing when working with raw chicken;>)but I really do need to think before acting sometimes. Luckly, I hadn't put the chicken in it;>...
I tend to cook Japanese-ish, using the basic concepts even with non-Japanese supplies. Focusing on fresh, seasonal foods. Not overwelming the core of a dish with seasoning, etc.
'Course, really fresh Japanese ingredients are a Fall and Winter thing here in the Florida Panhandle. The rest of the yr it's just too Bloody Hot and Humid for these crops. That's when I switch to Thai;>!
