Ivan Update again!?!
Sep. 23rd, 2004 08:59 amFor some reason, my upload the day we got Power back didn't show, so< G >...
Needless to say, we made it through. Actually, we slept through most of it, since both of us are snorers and use earplugs< G >!We did very well, as my Intuition said we would, though I have to refrain from using "The Royal We" from now on, since you go more than an inch off the property line and things are a bit more damaged. Interesting that even the neighbor's trees that were blown down fell against the wind, instead of dropping on our property. One of the Fundie family's trees that came down did this, right onto their back porch!
A few branches down and one bush partially up-rooted but salvagable, nothing else. Not even a shingle missing. Things were balanced by us not getting Power back on for 5 days though. We never lost phone or water, however. Ethel had the hardest time since she doesn't like to "go" when the grass is wet so for two days she used "puppy pads" though all the little twigs in the grass aren't her "cuppa" either. Being a dacshund, she's a bit closer to all those sharp bits than she's happy about< G >!

Pat
