Litter Reality TV...

mdehnersI admit, I don't Understand the appeal of most Reality TV(with the exception of 'Survivalman';>)and REAAAALLLY don't on the Rugrats Ago-Go format such as 'Kate-n-Jon+8'. I've caught the show while channel-surfing and I can't remember a single bite as I clicked by where the wife wasn't making a condescending comment or physically smacking her husband. Not being a Breeder, I figured this is the model for the "New Man", since pretty much every husband on TV is represented as such.
As I've pointeed out before on various lists, one of the things about these shows that Piss me off is that they don't show the REALITY; that both parents aren't WOrking, they're paid to be part of the show. In REALITY, huge families either have relatives that help out(including older kids who have their CHildhood taken away by parents who couldn't keep their legs crossed...)or work to afford childcare. Unless one or more of the couple came from Money, the amt of TIme stent by both parents with the swarm of Human Larvae in these shows is WRONG. Not only that, it Encourages stupid folks(like the Octomom) into thinking they can get paid for the results of sloppy FOrnication.....
