Why not Excellence?
May. 22nd, 2006 04:12 pmIt's funny how Issac's motto for his ADF has always been an anathema to so many folks. Folks seem to me to be in such a hurry. If they can't rebuild something that took hundreds to thousands of yrs in a couple yrs Honestly, they'll just cobble something together or even "make it up". Like a good Wine or Mead, quality takes time. It's particularly amusing to me because unlike most folks on "the fast track", I have had to deal with a real "expiration date" for quite a while. Heck, I just had a close call with a lovely Viral, Bacterial and FUngal Respiriatory Infection. Luckly, I had an MD appt. Another week and.....
Well, all those "Big Questions" aren't just Academic to me. Maybe that's why I don't "Jump on the Bandwagon" of Expediency or PC. After all, I KNow I'll Die as a Heathen. Others may Beleive that they will but I Know and want to do the best I can to Get It Right. Of course, someone who's looking at a 1/2 Century or more Life is going to see this Markedly different than someone who was expected to Die 16 yrs ago< G >. What's Real, What's Tru, What's Right? These are Important questions really at any time in one's Life because Honestly you could Die before your "Expiration Date". Looking at SPirit as a game or a puzzle during breaks in your Social Life(or as some I Know at Work on their computer...at least they're not shopping or watching Porn< G >).
I Know a lot of folks are Commitment-Shy(on a number of levels). If you Knew you were going to Die in the near Future, whould you feel you're Ready?
