It's the End of the World!

I’ve been on a Classic Movie “kick” lately, of the Sci-Fi/Disaster genre. What’s fascinating to me is the change in “Culture” for which things are considered “Bad”. In one, two of the most “funny” to modern folk would be people having to share the bathroom(water shortage) and kids hot-rodding about playing Jazz music as signs of the Horrors of the END OF THE WORLD. No riots, no killing, just in all an occasional squabble and good citizens going about, doing the best they can. A bit different than how the same situations would be presented in a modern Movie or, Regin Forbid, if it’d been Real;>.
The only thing they had in common with our modern “sensibilities” was that the gov’ts hide things from the Public and at the same time folks automatically expect them to fix things so they don’t have to……
Troth,
