Got the Ceilings, Walls and Floors done yesterday, as well as cleaning, maintaining and readjusting the ceiling fans for the Cold Months. Let's just say my shoulders are a touch sore today;>! Oh, and I dug a trench that'll be for the Creole Garlic, Daikon and spinach as well. Most happy with meself...
On a completely unrelated subject, I HAVE to recommend a new book(hopefully to be a new series) by one of my fav Military Sci-Fi authors, John Ringo's 'Princess of Wands'. If you like Hamilton's Gentry and Blake mysteries or Lackey's Tregarthe you'l love his Barbara Everette....and I was initially inclined not to. The reason? Well, Barb is a Suberban Southern Christian Soccer mom whose military brat upbringing gave her hobbys such as martial arts and firearms.
It's three short stories, the 1st the least Interesting with her exposure to a Cajun version of the Dunwich Horror. The 2nd is her introduction to an org fighting supernatural criiters and being the only Protestant Christian, finding herself for once, the Outsider. A good story that ends with the hunting of a necromancer at a con and finding out why some authors that produce complete dreck are popular;>.....
If more Christians were like Barb, the world would be a better place....
