It's The End of the World.....

There’s a story that’s been in the news the last couple of days that has made me very Uncomfortable, mainly because of the “chirpy” tone by those presenting it…Viral Surgery, or at least one use for it. Basically, Viral Surgery is to use a virus’ natural ability to enter a cell , cut the DNA strand and splice itself in as a “tool” to add or subtract genes that are naturally in the cell. A form of gengineering. There are a couple problems.
1: As it is right now, it is as if someone with a Primary School level of a language edits a book in that language…with a machete or chainsaw. All you get with editing a book in the is manner is something you can recycle. The equivalent on the genes of an Individual?
2: A Spill of scalpels, no matter how fine the blade(as is used in something like Stem cell work) won’t spread. They also don’t do surgery on their own….unlike their Viral equivalents…
Even Proponents of Gengineering are Uncomfortable with many of these Viral tools, esp the one’s modified from Human diseases. After all, their Nature is to destroy the natural DNA sequence and replace it with what they are carrying. Image a spill of Viral Scalpels, programmed to change skin cells into Stem cells. Watch people everywhere develop wet, sloughing wounds as contagious as a Common Cold. Watch them die from massive Infections from what basically is a 100% open wound.
At least Lil Shrub’ll be happy. No embryos died(except the one’s in a woman’s uterus…)and he’ll be “With Jesus”…
