Buzy, Buzy, Buzy!

Things are a bit crazy at 104 Hummingbird the last couple of days. Chuck has full-blown Yulophilia, so every box in the closets and shed are now scattered about the house. He keeps forgetting that decorations must deal with a big, clumsy dog and a small, dexterous bird. Good thing we don't bother with expensive ornaments;>!
For some reason we've ended up with a Jul trad where I get the main tree and CHuck does everything else. I think it started because he doesn't like all the work putting together and rebending an artificial tree is;>. I will admit, it is the best one I've ever done. Thanks to the economy, a number of businesses are going out of business during X-mas. We got a white Victorian feather tree and some decorations right out of the 50's and early 60's. The Atomic SUnburst ornaments are esp Cool!
The house smells great as well. There's just too many Persimmons to eat and give away so we're running the dehydrator 24/7. I did, however take the tip off my R "bird finger" with the mandoline. Serves me right for using one from the 70's. No "protein" was added to any of the fruit, however;>. The Meiwa Kumquats are starting to Ripen. Maybe I'll try a Japanese Candying recipe on a couple pecks....
