Since I'm not back to basic functioning thanks to that abscess, I've been watching more of what America does...to my discomfort. The biggest? These shows where Progressives who confuse Discipline and Boundries in child-rearing with Fascism ship their delinquent kids off to some Fundie family to be changed into basic Human Beings. I Know there are Progressive parents who do raise their kids not to be self-absorbed, self-important little bastards but there are too many that don't....enough to have a number of shows covering their mistakes from pre to highschool. It's Embarrassing watching another show where a smart, decent Adult has to send their Demonic Offspring off to some Fundie family to be Saved. This isn't a perfect country. AS a Gay person AND a member of a non-JCI Faith I understand that REEEAAAALLLY WELL. But let's not start out teaching our kids that criminal behavior is OK. "Who's it Hurt?". I've heard from pretty much every one of these parents. Your kids, unless you wish your child to work in the Underground Economy, esp. as a Chem or Sex Worker. Nothing wrong with these as Adult Choices....not as the only jobs they may be Qualified for....
