The most frightening thing about having a diary/journal/blog/etc? Reading the older bits;>! And if you've been doing them since high school and that predates 8-tracks;>......
Interestingly, much of the basic Spiritual and Ethical stuff is unchanged. I was and still am a polytheist with a strong sense that you are ultimately responsible for your actions. Politically? Completely flipped. I was a liberal socialist in the 70's. Today, I'm a lot more conservative. I think the biggest change in Beleifs is that I used to Beleive that folks were born Good and chose Evil due to social circumstances. My 1st two robbings and muggings were unreported because I felt that they'd had a hard enough life. What a difference a cople decades makes. I can't watch a "Lock-Up" episode without thinking how Positive a fake shower and some Zyclon-B would be to each of these facilities....
While I still consider Christianity intrincially Evil, I no longer give the other two JCI faiths a pass, esp. Islam. I look back at how I used to give excuses for their treatment of Gay folks while condemning Chiristians for doing the same in the Past and in the Present. At least now my Beleifs are more Equitiable. Equal Distaste for Equal Evil. No passes because you aren't a ritual cannibal;>....
