Unfriending.....

I "Unfriended" an old friend today, a man who Spoke for me at my Wedding. We're both Conservative, however, he's lived most of his life in N California and I Honestly Beleive that most of the things he posts are more to "twit" his Progressive friends than that he actually Beleives them. The thing is, I don't live in N. California, I live in NW Florida. I live where to get to the grocery store I have to pass two billboards, each from different owners. One declaims Obama's Alien-ness, the other calls him a "Monkey"(apparently, the "M Word" isn't considered Derogatory). I live where there is more devotion to a Women's Clinic Bomber than to Martin Luther King. I live where tax funds are cladly given to make sure every egg and as many sperms as possible get the chance to make it to infanthood(after which there is no interest except to keep them from Homos)yet they cut off Hospice coverage if you are so "Unamerican" not to die before your alloted 6 months.
I admit that a lot of my Conservatism was in reaction to many of my friends who were(usually by their own admission) on the Fluffy Side of the Force. Living here in "The Dangly Bits below the Bible Belt" is not a place for a Fiscally Conservative person. After all, one of the Signs of YHVH's Favor is Wealth so....
