Stufff......
Oct. 7th, 2012 01:54 pmHad brunch with the folks. Chuck didn't want to go since he'd been up since 0300 and doesn't want to eat in front of anyone until he gets his teeth. Since they're waiting to see if he can stabilize one more tooth before doing the impressions for his plates. It was nice and it was one of the good days at the VFW. Sometimes the volunteer cooks AREN'T;>
The garden's doing ok. A Cabbage, Daikons and Mustards are going gangbusters. The Beets and Chard have been visited by something hungry. Accidently pulled up a couple of Oka Hijiki, a weird Japanese Mustard considered a "Superfood" there. A pack with a couple leaves is like $10.00. Not bad tasting. Can't see why it's so expensive. It grows well here...actually, better than more Japanese veggies;>!
We think our new neighbors leave their dog out all day and only bring it in at bedtime. Next payday we'll get her a waterproof toy so she has something to do all day except chase squirrels and flirt with Boo-Boo;>.
Finally have adapted to the Diabetes meds but other than an absense of stomach problems I haven't noticed any difference in how I feel. At least with the Thyroid I did notice after a couple of days. Oh Well.....
Cheers,
Pat
