Avoidance....
Dec. 5th, 2012 10:41 amAt least for the next couple weeks I'm purposefully avoiding watching the news. What little hope I had post election has pretty much been dashed.
The scary thing? I keep remembering bits of "history" from the Sci-Fi writer LE Modessitt Jr's books. In them(a number of "future histories" with us as their shared Past)our civilization is called "The Noram Commonocracy". Why it well(falls;>?) is due to people who put petty partisanship and/or personal comfort over the common good.
I've read TOO MUCH of his to not have discomfort watching the news;>
