The Stupid People's Dance......
Dec. 7th, 2012 12:14 pmSo, for the last few days I've been dancing to the Stupid People's Band again, phone, car, waiting room, etc. It's amazing how much work is involved simply for assistance for 3 perscriptions.
The biggest "joy" requires a non-profit to do the initial work then the county, then the state, then the insurance(which being Medicare part-D makes it Federal;>). Anywhere along this chain something ALWAYS gets misplaced, responsible dept changes, incompetance, etc...EVERY 3 months. Thing is, it's every 6 but each part and each dept has a differing month and date so even one's in the same month aren't on the same day. As I said, all for 3 medications, all taken once a day.
Adding to the "fun" the county "forgot" to notify me so when I was picking up my perscription refill(for another med with another whole dance but not as bad 'cause it's cheaper)yesterday they told me that they needed the non-profit's paperwork...today. Not that they TALKED to the non-profit. so, after playing phone tag with the NP yesterday, I decided just to go over there with everything that always needed...just in case. Well, appearanctly I was right, I HAD taken care of the NP portion less than 2 months ago so thy talked to the health dept while I was there and got it taken care of(silly people, it was in the medical chart. WHODATHUNK of looking THERE!!!!!!). So now, next Wednesday when I go in for my regular appt after the county will have me sign papers that they already had but didn't bother to look for this week to prevent me losing my aids meds coverage for the next 6 months...
And folks wonder why I sometimes come off "snippy";>
Cheers,
Pat
