Ho-Boy......

Last night the family got together for Mom's B-day, 88 or 89...no one's telling;>. It was a nice night except for one thing. A very awkward couple of minutes with my SIL.
As I've mentioned before here, she's a big-time Newager. She assumes that since I don't follow a "conventional religion" that I'm:
1-Another New Ager
2-Follow the same Stuff
Believe the same stuff

All of which can make for uncomfortable moments, since we Rent one of their properties(not that they'd evict us, it just makes things awkward). Completely unbothered by the fact that all the previous True Prophecies (tm, pat-pending)in the 2+ decades I've known her have not come true, she waits till my brother gets up to get another helping(we're at a Buffet;>) to ask me how we felt about "blaugh, Blaugh, Blaugh", as if of course I knew about it. Hadn't heard zip. Even did a search of newage prophecies for "13" and it wasn't within the 1st 5 pages so I gave up. While it would be nice that the computers will make every single human on the planet wealthy THIS MONTH, somehow I don't think a 3rd World farmer's going to suddenly find their credit rating at the highest and their bank acct with a couple million available at the nearest ATM....
I love her dearly but sometimes but.....
