Cautious...
May. 3rd, 2013 01:31 pmHad a weird experience yesterday. About 2 hrs after I AGAIN called Blockbuster about their glitch in their software not recognizing that the 2 dvds I have in my possession are NOT waiting to be mailed from their warehouse, I get a strange call.
This man with a very thick accent tells me my computer has been hacked and that I need to allow him to slave my computer to his so he can "take care of the problem". I ask him what's his company. He answers with this really generic sounding computer company name. Then I ask him who gave him this number, he changed the subject...TWICE. So I hung up.
If this guy was from Blockbuster, he should have said. I don't allow my computer to be slaved to no one I know.
Cheers,
Pat
