mdehners: (gnome)
So, when we moved here I checked out a number of offices for Chuck's care and Cherokee seemed the best. When I called they made it clear because of "Addiction Issues" they have a policy of not prescribing Painkillers(Cherokee is primarily for the Poor...DUH!). I asked about sleeping pills, particularly, Lunesta. They said sure.
This AM was his 1st appt. I get there and ask again. Now, they say "well, but don't worry". And as the appt ends the NP sees I've circled the Lunesta on the list of meds they wouldn't cover and asked and I pointed out what I'd been told both initially AND at the front desk. She leaves to call MD who says "NO". Now, not only have I wasted the time in the last month when I could have been looking/have got an MD for him I've wasted the morning.
Since I've my appt Wednesday, I'll check if they take hiv- clients. If they do, they're obviously NOT going to have a problem with his Lunesta if they'll cover my MS-Contin;>.....
