mdehnersWell, got he Spring Seed orders done and those for Sweet Potatoe starts. I saved some Korean Sweet Potatoes(Red skin; White, dry and sweet flesh)from my local Asian market so with that, the Okinawan, Japanese(Purple skin and white flesh) and Violetta(Purple Skin, Purple flesh), it'll be a tasty Fall.
I'm going to "splurge" but am undecided about which. On one hand: Lotus. The tubers, leave and seeds are delicious; the blossoms beautiful and their Scent! The drawback? They haveto be planted in back like any rare(for this area) Asian foodstuff since a portion of our Immigrant community hasn't a "handle" on Western property rights. On the other; Dwarf Avocado. Only drawback is that it has to be dragged into the Greenhouse most WInters. Decisions, decisions;>....
A "Woo-Woo" note. I found some Landwights abouth the old clump of Saw Pawmetto but no where else in the back yrd. Truth is, until now I hadn't looked. After all, the back is fenced off for Boo-Boo. You need your Physical not Mystical Vision to check for "Puppy Mines";>....
