Healthy Sweat...
Mar. 17th, 2008 08:22 amYesterday was pretty good. Not only was the weather great but it was the 1st day that I've really felt decent in a couple of weeks. Got some Weeding done, transplanted the Kaffir Lime(a tropical citrus used in SE Asian cooking, esp Thai. Even smells wonderful when hit by a sprinkler!)which is now taller than I am and FINALLY got that Bloody(literally;>!) Cherokee Rose moved. Great location too, across from the bus stop. The little vermines have already smashed or ripped up any bush or plant directly across from it. Too bad I can't have them fixed and save the world future criminals....
The Pink Lemon has buds but the other fruit trees are still dormant. I'm Hoping that this exceptionally cold WInter might strengthen the Antique Apple(a Cutting from Mt Vernon...)and the Quince. The Apple's never produced and the Quince only once in 7 yrs. In a couple of weeks it'll be warm enough to put out the Tomatoes I've started. I'm esp interested in the sample I got for being such a good customer, 'Furry Yellow Hog'. I love family Heirlooms, esp from Mt Folks;>!
Truth,
Pat
