Friendship....

The subject's been in my head lately. I was thinking about my friends, some I've had since bell-bottoms and Bee-Gees ruled the Earth. Most of them are not Gay or Heathen(a fact of which some folks may make hay with;>). We talk about our families, relationships, kids,pets,yards(the only thing "fussier" than a bunch of old ladies is a bunch of guys talking about their yards:>), etc. We go on camping trips and picnics. One thing we don't is religion. Everyone Knows what religion everyone is, but beyond what days they're unavailable or possible Dietary Rules,it's not discussed. To a lot of folks the idea that you don't "educate" others about your way is an anathema. The truth is most folks DON'T CARE and AREN'T INTERESTED. Also, that "education" usually is about the other's "Real Beliefs", not yours. How many times have I heard Christians tell Wiccans, Pagans and Heathens what they "reaaaallllyy Believe". How many times have I heard the reverse. Also, things don't always translate well, esp when different religions use different sets of jargon. So, be friends. Be respectful of that person, even if you know they're following a false Path;>. And remember that nasty, bitter people, no matter what Faith they are, get "theirs in the end;>....
