Calling the Cops....

Unlike a lot of my various "tribes" members, I don't have anything against Cops. Lawyers, sure. Cops....NO. The Godz know I've Dated enough of them. So when I began to wonder if the "sketchy" Rental across the street's Renters had done a Runner and abandoned their pets(which happens all the time unfortunately)I called. I'd gone by but the smell knocked me over.
The house is "cursed". It attracts a singular group; an obese Pregnant White woman, her kids of various fathers, her present Black boyfriend and Pregnancy generator AND his "buds". and two dogs an rope. EVERY TIME. It's downright creepy! The two dogs are the one they moved in with and it's replacement, since they never live more than a yr....

Poor doggies :-( I hope they're alive but animal control will probably kill them :-(

Well, all they did was drive by and check. The pups are still in there. 'Course, with all those nice laws, it'll take a week or two to get legal access to them...being the South and all....unless one of them dies, then they can break in and get it.

:-( See, that just contributes to my scorn for cops . . .

But screw the law. I've been handed a cat that was the only thing left in an apartment after the landlord sealed it for rent arrears and the tenants broke in and took their property. Should be possible to get in there . . . if they are "pups," i.e., redeemable dogs, then a dog rescuer should probably be tipped off and given aid such as you standing guard, looking nonchalant . . . . but if as I am afraid they are vicious or have nasty diseases, poor things are goners anyway :-(

. . . Someone could maybe anonymously call the cops saying they suspect there's a human body in there?

I don't Blame the Cops. Here in the land of Property Rights, that might work if it was a kid....maybe. They had a local case here in the Panhandle a couple yrs ago about the local Police dept being sued for breaking into a house AND finding a decomposing body because they didn't go through the right "channels". They of course won but it cost the town a few hundred Thou in Lawyering fees so....
