mdehnersA friend recently in his blog brought up the Perennial Question. Why do the Woeful oft Flourish while the Wealful Languish? Not an easy answer, unless you are an Eejit. Only part of it can be the Wyrd you've Wrought in this Life. This is where many choose to Beleive in mult Lives(which I do BTW, but not for this reason;>)as an explanation. An of course the "did you Piss off any Deities in this or any other Life?" discussion.
In a lot of ways I'm different than many folks. I guess that's why, other than Ancestry that the REgin make sense to me. They didn't Create the Universe,They just help "deal" with it's conditions in regard to Their Children. My HPS decades ago once said jokingly, "The Universe is not Fair, It's Just. Just what....". Oddly enough, that explanation has done me well. "Fair" is Humanocentric as well as Individualistic. The Universe is NEITHER. That's Ragnarok and the Regin in a nutshell. Them, on the Folk and the rest of Humanity's side against the Universe. The Universe doesn't Care if Humanity becomes Exinct, Prospers and/or anything in between. If there's any "Plan", the closest I come to as a UPG is that of Life Coming into Being and spreading by ANY MEANS. The Universe doesn't care if it's Humans or Parameciums. EIther get too plentiful and they Attract Predators, Macro or Micro.
The Etinfolk are simply the Sentient forces of the Natural Universe. The Regin and most of Humanity's God/desses are the Sentient FOrces Fighting for US. Some of the Etinfolk are Wealful to us. Most are Indifferent. Some are actively Malevolent. Sadly, the Actions of many in their Choices of WHom to Follow lead to a world that makes the recent 'I AM LEgend' look like a Paradise...not that they'll ever admit or beleive it.
