mdehnersI'm not Dead but I'm not Well either. Many folks in my situation Understand. When you have a Severe Chronic or Often Terminal Illness and don't Die, many Think you're Well. Well, you're NOT.
Personally, I Think I'm Bloody Well doing Well with my situation. Most of those "in my shoes" have folks that come in a couple times a week to help around the house, to drive them to where they need to go, even to bring in a meal a couple times a week. I do it all myself(well, Chuck does Laundry;>). What gets to me every so often is just because I do and keep messy Health "issues" at home, many folks Think I'm fine and some even Think I'm Faking. "You can't have aids" I've been told a number of times. Sometimes I Think it would be easier just to sign up for all the crap that's available for me. I Know a lot of folks who do, just so they don't have to do them....not because they CAN'T. The REgin Know those are the one's that get the "there, there"s, not the eejits like me who Think it's Important to Do what you can as long as you CAN...not to mention the Dishonorable Acts of taking what you don't actually need. I Know. "Squeaky Wheel" and all that. It's just sometimes hearing someone getting "warm fuzzies" when you Know they spent the entire time at the beach Partying gets Old...
