mdehnersHo boy. So it's been probably a decade since I've had to Iron anything. Clean and descale a circa 1970 Avocado and Chocolate Iron, test it and make sure our Wedding clothes are presentable. Luckly, it's like "getting back on a bike" but only after a couple of 2nd degree Burns;>!
My Amber Hammer is all Polished though I didn't realise how ratty the cord was. A bit too late for that. Since it's an Ecumenical Wedding, Heathen materials are just as "welcome" as Christian(and since the Mother-Of-The Bride thinks ANYONE who Beleives in God/desses PERIOD is "Just not Evolved"....). I'm tempted to bring my Staff, mainly since it's a Beach Wedding and it's foot's bigger than my cane. Besides, from what I'm hearing about Suki's(my Niece) Mother-In-Law to be, it's tempting to Pull her chain. She's a pre-Vatican II Catholic whose been a royal Pain the entire time. SHe WAS originally going to have a Catholic Wedding(Suki once having been splished) to please her In-laws but Mommy Dearest figured that if she waited too long, there wouldn't be any churches and Priest's available and the Wedding would be off. Considering Suki's been raised basically as a New Ager since she was 11, She decided to have an Ecumenical Wedding like her Mom's and my Brother's. SO now not only are they still gettin Married, they're having a Newage ceremony on the beach:>.....
We figured something simple as a gift; A Japanese scroll of two Koi swimming together. Those suckers can and do go anywhere....
