Many Moons ago, when great herds of Polyesters roamed the Earth, I was a member of a Ceremonial group. I remember one meeting a rather pompous member of our group(POMPOUS!?! CEREMONIAL MAGICIANS!?! NO:>!)who gave this schpeal about how wonderful it was to live in a time when "Spiritual Growth" wasn't only available to the Nobility, who didn't have to Work for a Living and had Servants to take care of "Mundane" tasks. She, who was putting herself up as an example of this "Liberation" of our time had no "clue" she was being Ironic. Her husband's Income had them well off enough that not only did they have every "labour-saving" device known to man at the time but enough to afford a housekeeper. Her kids were in school or college so her "work" was at most 1 meal per day....
This isn't Unusual I've noted in the "Follow Your Bliss" crowd. Scratch the surface of one that is Happy and you'll find family(Married, Biological or Aquired) that acts as a safety net for their "Leaps of Faith". There are always "Mundane" folks who are there to pick them up, clean up the mess and get them back on their feet. The same folks they look down on for BEING focused on the everyday worldly needs of their family..
For those who don't, this Path is an Ugly one unless truly Blessed by luck. Often, the person is so Bitter that they turn to the most oppressive of religions, simply to feel safe.....
In TRuth, Spiritual Growth is hard work and not quick OR easy. Maybe that's why I'm such a Lore-Whore Traditionalist Recon. I want the "land" surveyed before I "jump" so I know the proper angles to make the best possible outcome for me. Except for college, I've been my own "net". You learn quickly at that age.....hopefully;>.

Pat
