A number of my friends are "bummed". It's nothing they can do anything about, which is why they're upset. It's McCain. One of the big reasons they're Supporting him is that they don't think Obama has the "gravitas" to be President. So, when McCain sounds petulant, flubs or simply can't remember what he said even the day before, it upsets them. I admit, I'm Uncomfortable as well. I voted for him in 2000 in the primary but his behavior caught by camera crews esp. this week makes me uncomfortable. Not too many folks will want a President "Codger". I'm not the most tech-savy person but even I know NOTHING gets missed nowadays with camera-phones and the like. You can't "spin" info figuring that if it isn't on the Big 3 Evening News it didn't happen anymore. The old Late Friday info dump doesn't work anymore. If anything folks tend to be suspicious and will dig into stuff "released" too late to make the Dinner news. He really needs someone at least in their 40's around....
He really needs to get his shit together if he wants to win. As Bob Dole found out, you don't get the President's job just because it's "your turn" anymore. His campaign makes local VFW politics look organised. ANd they're mostly older than he is!
