mdehnersCertainly NOT in my family. For instance, my Dad'll go buy out any Pesticide or Herbicide that's going to be yanked from the market, Beleiving that only stuff that works does. My younger brother disinfects EVERYTHING. If it wasn't for his newage wife, their house would be a mini Love Canal.
Then you have me. I "bug" them....literally. There are Weeds in my lawn(there are also wild Orchids and a number of Wildflower species that have seeded into it...). There are bugs. There are caterpillars(as well as their Adult forms which folks drive by my house to see the clouds of them...). The yard isn't oriented to make a lawn easy to mow, in fact, most of it is gone! What there is of it there are these trees that you have to mow around('course, most of them are fruit trees, which are "messy" according to them...). Yesterday my Dad brought by a Gas lawnblower for me. I only have the driveway, which I sweep regularly with a broom. Funny thing, the reason is that "appearantly" that's not doing good enough job. The area? The result of going cheap on a contractor for something we didn't want...a concrete driveway. It's zGraded to that water pools at the front of the carport. A blower isn't going to remove the stain of oak tannins pooling on white cement. Besides, I don't like to use them. Sweeping is very Meditative. A Gas powered garden tool never is;>....
