mdehnersSomething happened today that I thought never would. I felt Sorry for George Will! It was on a talk show and he was trying to explain to his Centrist and Liberal colleagues why a certain McCain ad isn't considered False by the Republican base. What was sad was he was explaining it to them in their language and so was making a mess of it.
What he was trying to get accross to his colleagues that for the Deep Right, ALL Sex Education not taught by parents is the SAME THING. In that group's eyes there is no difference between teaching personal hygene and bestiality. That the law in question was to teach kiddies to recognise "bad touches" was IMMITERIAL. As far as the Rep Base is concerned, it's all the same thing....
'Course, he couldn't just come out and say that and not catch Hell from his fellow Concervatives for making their Powerbase look like a bunch of yahoo's from 'Possum Corner'....
'Course, as someone who spent much of thier free time educating folks to prevent VD's of various types and Pregnancies over the last 3 decades and seeing so many folks that got "something", I wonder if ANY Sex Education is useful, since Humans are such self-centered, self-absorbed pigs....
