mdehnersWhen I heard the most recent dumb idea from the "the folks or the state support me" crowd last week, I knew it was going to bomb. Of course, the Paper-mache Puppet crowd generally doesn't "get" Reality anyway but this one?!?!!
"Calling in Gay" was on soooo many levels a dumb Idea. One, just the impression that being Gay was a disease after all we have to fight tells you the age and location of these eejits who've never really had to deal with Bigotry. To them, not being able to have face tats and piercings at work is "Oppression".
Another is the Idea that we can afford not to go to work. One, you've got a shitty economy. Two, in most of the US you can be fired simply for BEING Gay. Yah, I can see when you're struggling to pay bills, working in "Real America" that letting your Catholic, Protestant or Mormon boss that you're a Homo is a great idea....
Patton Oswald did a great set in his act yrs ago about these eejits that obviously smoke too much Weed. How else would you think these dumb ideas would work?
