Stupidity as a Default Setting....

mdehnersI do wonder. After all, the number of Eejits never goes down every yr.
I'd gone in for my weekly shot and was once agian Praised by the nurse for showing up to get a shot that KEEPS ME ALIVE. To me, this is literally a "No Brainer". No-Stabby No Live-ey. Yet she and the other nurses spend most of thier time trying to get folks to take their life-saving Meds...even just pills.
Part of it, for aids-volk is that most of theose alive in the Western WOrld with the disease got it after the Meds came up. They have no Memory of going to friend's funerals every week(sometimes more than one). They have no Memory of skeletons pushing Walkers about. Nope. To them, it's a disease that unlike Diabetes, most don't need shots. A disease that they bitch about having to take a couple pills a couple times a day(having come after both NO Meds and those that had to be taken EXACTLY every two hrs such that you had pill bottles with timers on them.). A disease that makes them have to worry about preventing Pregnancy(most of the new cases in my area are women who just LUV those Bad Boys).
I mean, it's great that I'm appreciated but I'd like to have been for something Real, not just showing up for an appointment or to take my Meds as ordered. Sadly, the only thing that will change these folks(who, after all knew stuff I didn't when I was given IT)is if their strain mutates...which sometimes happens when folks don't take their Meds as scheduled. Viruses are just as efficient at Mutation as Bacteria, perhaps greater. I don't Wish this because often these folks have Proved themselves to continue spreading their present strain. When you're in a Support group with women who are + (if not full-blown)who won't force their boyfriends to use a condom(or tell them their status), you really feel that all that Educating was a waste....

Was he a god? Why not? There were sacrifices, after all. All the sherry and biscuits.. And he made commandments and rewarded the good and knew what you were doing. If you believed, nice things happened to you. Sometimes he was in a grotto and others in the sky…
