mdehnersIt's been the rage since the 60's in America. Folks that really aren't genetically well put together are cozetted and allowed to breed. Heck, they can go to their local health dept and get help doing so. Our kids get weaker and dumber, just so that the "Glusi"(see Sheri Tepper's 'The Fresco')don't get low self-esteem or are inconvienienced by forcing them to act with and as normal kids.
When I was young, there were few fat kids,asthmatics, allergics, etc. Today, it seems they are the majority....if not the ruling class. After all, we can't have PE because it makes them feel inadequate compared to their classmates. Bobby can't have Pistachios in his lunchbox(but now is forced to have twinkies) because 3 kids in a 1000 in his school is allergic to peanuts(therefore all nuts are banned. Oh, and they don't test those kids to see if they actually HAVE allergies. As a nurse I found moms writing peanut allergies for their kids because after eating 2 sandwiches the got gas...a farting kid isn't an allergic kid, BTW). Poor exposure to a food causes digestive problems because you don't have the proper level of enzymes to break it down...YET. That ISN'T an Allergy. An allergy is a hystemic reaction. It's also amusing how a parent's political and dietary PREFERENCES determine usually what the kid is "allergic" to. It's also an INSULT to everyone with a real Allergy. I know folks that if they even held certain substances that their reaction, if they didn't have their Epi-pen with them would probably die. To equate their suffering with some wingnut who's jumped on the "If I or my kid(s) can't be Special, (t)he(y)'ll be "Special"" bandwagon is DISGUSTING.
It's sad that a species that became successful because it could eat and wander everywhere is now breeding for an organism that'll die if it's in the same room as cheese. Then again, considering the political leanings of most of these folks they may very much be trying to make Humanity extinct....
