Lost Gods.....

Usually, when I Call on the Regin, or even the Aesir or Vanir as a particular gruop, I get an imagine not unlike the curtain call of a perfornce. That is, all the Principals are on stage. The thing is, there are many more than are mentioned in the Lore, even for the better known Aesir. Those whose Names have been forgotten, mispronounced or misplaced. What to do? It gets even more complicated with Fosterage. For instance, not to long ago One of the Aesir called for my attention. I didn't recognise Him. By doing the Yes-No, Hot-Cold bit, I found out that what made things even more complicated was that He was part of Ingui Frey's Retinue....Technically a Vanir. He kept holding a bunch of flowers that I didn't recognise(and since they shared the attributes of an number of families I'm guessing it was a Metaphor and not that He is the God of the ____ Plant;>).
Back in my CR days we used to make Offering to the Outsiders so that they may not Interfere with the God/desses. I'm wondering if perhaps there should be a Rite for those Names are lost to us(at least presently)so that They may Do their Work as They always Did, but at least with our Acknowlegement...
