DVD Review Revisited: 'Diary of the Dead'
Jan. 14th, 2011 12:30 pmWhen I 1st saw this flick I had a few complaints, one of which I feel I was wrong about...actually, my biggest complaint.
I just didn't beleive that folks would be so obsessed with their toys that they would actually record even friends being attacked than to help. Now, after "dealing" with Ifone, Droid and such folks...I see it happening easily.
The other critiques still hold. Romero's leftover 60's Politics can get old:Non-Whites Good, Whites Bad, Police and Military Evil only held back by fear of getting caught. Gov't inherently Evil(something they and the R-Wingnutz have in common).I'm still on the fence whether folks are as shallow and cowardly as presented in the flick.
And for the strip-mall Zombies(McDonalds, etc uniforms)swarming over Amish country(appearantly bus service ran for ZOmbies but not Living Humans;>)!?!?!!
Cheers,
Pat
