2-Edged....
Apr. 19th, 2011 09:02 amRecently, on Sweain's blog he brought up the sad fact that for many Seekers, the 1st and last post is the same one. And he's right that you grow by asking questions. The problem is...what/which questions?
I'm NOT ofthe school that says, "There are no stupid questions". There are. They are:
Answered in the posts on the list you are posting it within the last couple of months
Answered on the 1st page when Googled
You see, I discovered Heathenry back in the days when it meant searching pagan gatherings, Occult and Metaphysical bookstores and zines, Healthfood stores, etc. Well, there was alt.pagan if you were a college student;>. I don't have patience for those that are too lazy to read the list they're on or just the 1st page from a search engine. Personally, i think the Regin feel the same way. Honestly, I can't think of a single Heathen over a yr that asked for "All That Is" from their 1st post on a list. Those types are also too lazy to even use the material "Sweet Spirits" end them.
I understand some lists and groups run off of antiquated collegat systems can be a pain to get old posts to read but for most nowadays, it's right on the facepage. If you're too lazy to read the posts of the last month or so's traffic, you're too lazy to be Heathen....
