mdehnersIt was a bit Depressing watching the AM news and realizing that in my life I've experienced the 1st and last American spaceship. Sure, there'll be more robot probes and we'll "hitch" on the crafts of others for another decade or so until they too leave because usually, the reason they did in the 1st place was to not let the USA outdo them too much.
The Chinese could take the High Dream but with so much of their population below Poverty it ain't gunna happen...esp with the West pushing Human Rights;>. Nope, it's over for this batch of civilizations, if not Humanity. We had our chance but wasted our resources mainly in boosting the Egos of impotent old men instead of real issues. Oh well. Maybe the Cephalopods'll do a better job....
