Oct. 3rd, 2009 01:25 pmRichers and their "diseases" have always fastenated me. After all, how many Roman slaves got off for "The Vapours"? How many Victorian Poorhouse workers got off for "Nervous Exhaustion"? How many assembly line workers for "Emotional Distress"? Not many I bet.
That's tha dark side of our Media today. These folks are presented as role models. You're supposed to want what they want, do what they do. While that "helps the Economy" and it's Repelican masters, it also translates to their Weaknesses being transmitted. The average under 25 has less emotional strength than a Gilded Age child because at least then most of the population weren't Emotionally and Ethically Richer.
Kind of looking forward to the next big disaster because folks are now even less able than they were during 'Katrina', who were less able than those of 9-11, who were.....
