mdehnersThis Gothic flick from Ireland is in the same genre as 'Harvest Home' and 'The Wicker Man', ie the survival of pre-C traditions that Outsiders fuk with at their Peril;>.
A couple whose child had died move to a small village to start a new life. After car problems, the wife sees the Villagers performing a rite in which a man is "born" out of a strange pod. She panics and talks her husband into leaviong. The village head convinces them to stay because they have a way that Dead Loved Ones can come back for three days...as long as they haven't been dead for more than a yr. The usual "We Know more than these Country Bumpkins" and "Peasant Rules are for Peasants" come into play with the usual results;>....
